Eligibility for Admission:

Minimum academic qualification for the Diploma course ‘Jyotish Ratna’ is pass in Madhyamik level examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Proficiency in spoken and written Bengali, English or Hindi is desirable.

There is no age bar. For admission to higher courses the candidate has to pass out the courses of previous level. In case the student fails to clear only one theoretical paper he/she may be allowed admission to course of next higher level subject to the condition that he has to pass out the said paper in a supplementary test during the tenure of the higher course. No such relaxation is however permissible for admission to M.Phil and Ph.D course. Direct admission to higher courses is permitted after interview and screening by the Admission Committee. Decision of the committee shall be final.

Admission Procedure

  1. A prescribed admission form enclosed, needs to be filled up carefully and submitted along with self attested copies of documents as required.

  2. Admission fee of Rs. 1000/- for new admission to any course except Ph.D is to be paid along with one month’s tuition fee in advance for the respective course.

  3. Any one of the documents, such as voter I.Card, PAN Card, Passport or Driving licence is acceptable as identity proof. A clear photocopy will accompany the application for admission.

  4. A distinct photocopy of the latest electricity bill, ration card, Bank Pass Book, Driving licence or Passport will be accepted as address proof.

  5. Madhyamik or equivalent certificate showing date of birth will be accepted as age proof.

  6. Recent passport size photographs in 3 copies, one self-attested and pasted on the admission form are to be furnished.
